Tyler Kord's new cookbook — A Super Upsetting Cookbook about Sandwiches — is stuffed with surprises: from a foreword built on absurd lies, to an ode to cold beer in hot showers, to a reflection on the emotional state of cold cuts.

But don't be fooled by the unconventional extras, the book still delivers a delicious series of solid, if controversial, recipes (This ceviche sandwich recipe, for instance, sparked outrage in Peru.)

Kord, the creative co-owner of New York restaurants No.7 and No.7 Sub, joins guest host Gill Deacon to discuss his book, what his divorce has to do with it, and how he feels about authenticity in the kitchen.
