Goosebumps author R.L. Stine on his return to Fear Street

R.L. Stine says overprotective adults too often deprive kids of a good scare.
R.L. Stine joins guest host Piya Chattopadhyay to discuss his 20-year hiatus from scaring children silly -- and how grown-up 90s kids on Twitter helped revive his classic teen horror franchise, Fear Street

The best-selling author also argues that the scariest things are timeless, explains the link between humour and horror, and how shielding young readers from violence is anti-kid.

"I think there are a lot of people in the world who don't want kids to have fun," he laughs.
