You may not know her name, but Florence Price was the first Black female composer to have her music played by a major American orchestra. She's now being honoured after a trove of her forgotten work was discovered in Chicago. Violinist Er-Gene Kahng was so moved by Price's compositions that she was compelled to record and perform them live. She joined us to shine a light on the pioneering composer's life and music.
