Forget about hanging out around the kitchen table or in the living room — we're headed to the bedroom

During the pandemic, our bedrooms have truly become multipurpose rooms. (Bridget Forbes / CBC)

These days our bedrooms have become all of the things: the place we sleep, work, relax, study, eat, exercise... and the list goes on. So forget about hanging out around the kitchen table, or in the living room — Now or Never is headed straight to the bedroom. Because there's much more happening in bedrooms than just a little shut eye.

If you're looking for Jaydin Nungaq, you'll likely find him in the corner of his tiny Iqaluit bedroom making music. Hear how the self-described introvert is using music to express himself and tell the world about the challenges he and his peers are facing.

Edmontonian Bashir Mohamed is in training as a naval warfare officer on the west coast. He joined the navy just over a year ago, which means he's having to get used to his bedroom being a tiny 2 foot by 6 foot bunk on a ship, out at sea.

3-year-old twins Callie and Renee DeJaeger are excited about ditching the crib and moving to their new "big girl beds". But their Mom Cheryl? Yeah, she's having a harder time with the adjustment.

Would you ever sit down with your parents to show them a box of sex toys? Entrepreneur Mathusha Senthil is doing that and more with her company Thaen Pot — a project aimed at starting healthy discussions about sex among the South Asian Diaspora. Oh, and she's running the whole thing from her bedroom closet.

17-year-old William Bottle just moved into his new bedroom two weeks ago. The high school student is from Pickle Lake, Ontario and left his family and community behind to study in the big city. He and his house parent (who is also his teacher and basketball coach) Aaron Guthrie talk about the dangers and opportunities that face Indigenous youth in Thunder Bay.
