It's been nearly a week since Bashar al-Assad fled the Syrian capital of Damascus. There's a new interim leader in place – but still many questions to be answered about what comes next for a country coming out of a decade-long war. We'll be speaking with Nader Hashemi. He's the Director of the Alwaleed Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding and an Associate Professor of Middle East and Islamic Politics at the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. And Bayan Khatib who is one of the co-founders of the Syrian Canadian Foundation which formed around Canada's effort to settle tens of thousands of Syrian refugees. The President-elect has promised a more crypto-friendly government in the U.S.. Here in Canada, Vancouver city council voted to give staff permission to explore the idea of converting part of the city's reserve fund to cryptocurrency.
