When movie star Vinay Virmani took our very own Sook-Yin Lee to Brar's, his favourite cafe in Brampton, Ont., he didn't just pick out Indian sweets for her.
He insisted on hand-feeding them to her.
Like, directly into her mouth.
Just the way his Indo-Canadian relatives first taught him.
This is what happened next...
"I'm gonna feed you dessert. That's what Indians do."

"You're gonna feed me? This is very intimate. This is a little fast for me."

"It's cultural. It's only right. It would be disrespectful if I didn't feed you."

"Going down the chute!"

"I can't look at you in the eye! I must look elsewhere."

"Woah! This is delicious. And it's super sweet. Right now my teeth are going Aaaaaaagh!!"

An hour later, at a meeting with Brampton regional councillor Martin Medeiros, Sook-Yin was the one doing the feeding!

Representing a city with a high Indo-Canadian population, Coun. Medeiros is obviously used to this tradition.

Thanks for being a good sport, Coun. Medeiros.
You, too, Sook-Yin.
Way to embrace the traditions of Vinay Virmani and your fellow Indo-Canadian brothers and sisters :)
