Joshua Levy's Hebrew name is 'Baruch' after his great-great-Grandfather, Boris Kaplan, a man whose adventures were legendary within the family.

In 1915 Boris founded a construction company and built the oldest Synagogue in Canada that is still in operation today, Bagg Street Shul. Joshua grew up hearing tales about Boris, including the story about how he had 15 minutes to woo his future bride.
So one day Joshua asked his great-grandmother if she had any recordings of Boris, so that he could finally hear his namesake for himself. Click the link above to hear Joshua's story - and Boris' precious home recordings.
