More than 155,000 public sector workers under the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) entered a legal strike position this week.
Talks are ongoing between the federal government and PSAC, with higher wages to combat a higher cost of living a central issue, but some 100,000 public sector workers could walk off the job between now and June 10.
There are 23 departments of the federal government where potential service disruptions could occur, including delays processing tax returns through the Canada Revenue Agency and delays for in-person appointments and applications through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
