A powerful storm system ripped across parts of the southern U.S. and the Midwest on Saturday, unleashing a series of tornadoes and killing at least 17 people. In Oklahoma, raging wildfires fanned by heavy wind gusts have destroyed more than 300 structures and torched over 680 square kilometres of land.
