Canadians' medical costs would rise if U.S. tariffs go through: prof
Medical technology associations like Medtech Canada, AdvaMed and others have sounded the alarm over how U.S. tariffs would drive up costs of medical equipment. Mina Tadrous, an assistant professor at the University of Toronto’s Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, says medication could also be affected by tariffs as details of the terms remain unclear. Tadrous says the increase in costs would likely be passed on to consumers.
