More than 2,000 additional Alberta education workers to hold strike vote
Five additional groups of education workers are poised to hold a strike vote this weekend. They include support staff, educational assistants, custodial and maintenance workers represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees in Calgary and some areas around Edmonton. If successful, they could join more than 4,000 CUPE members in Edmonton and Fort McMurray on the picket line. The CBC’s Nancy Carlson has an update.
