Joly says Canada ‘will be ready day one’ to respond to possible U.S. tariffs
During a visit to Washington, D.C with Public Safety Minister David McGuinty and Immigration Minister Marc Miller, Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly says there will be three rounds of retaliatory measures if the U.S. imposes tariffs on Canadian goods. The White House said Friday that U.S. President Donald Trump would implement a 25 per cent tariff on Canadian goods starting Saturday, though Trump later offered different dates for various products.
