Squid Game production designer Chae Kyoung-Sun worked on the design of the Young-hee doll, the infamous statue from the popular Netflix show that played a deadly game of 'Red Light, Green Light' with the contestants. When coming up with the look of the doll, Chae says she drew inspiration from her own daughter and wanted the facial structure to look cute, but it was key for the eyes 'to have a certain madness' that would symbolize a murderous machine.
