Nakota Rayne Pooyak, a resident of Sweetgrass First Nation, was arrested and charged on Jan. 18 with three counts of second-degree murder. This comes after the shooting deaths of Brent, Matthew and Brennan Peters, a father and his two adult sons, in September 2024.
