During her launch to become the next Liberal Party leader, former deputy prime minister and finance minister Chrystia Freeland said she had been in disagreement 'for some time' with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau specifically over spending, and that the disagreements worsened after U.S. president-elect Donald Trump threatened 25 per cent tariffs on Canada.
