Hundreds more cases of sexual assault and sexual exploitation have gone to trial in Alberta since 2017, data shows. Events like #MeToo helped reduce some of the stigma survivors face, but as CBC's Nicholas Frew explains, intentional change, teamwork and fewer preliminary hearings have also helped push cases to court.
