Dylan Maddix, a MUN assistant professor of instrumental conducting, recalls the first time he really understood how music can marry what’s going on in the head and the heart. Maddix spoke to Adam Walsh, host of CBC’s The Signal, about performing with a high school band, being asked to play the same song twice, and to picture a loved one for the second performance.
