The Churchill Falls MOU passed after 4 days of debate, but the PCs walked out and refused to vote
After 36 hours of debate over four days, the Liberals, NDP and independent MHAs supported the terms of a Churchill Falls deal with Hydro-Quebec. A promise of extra independent oversight wasn’t enough to get PC support, and their caucus walked off the House of Assembly floor.
