Hampers went to Indigenous families across Winnipeg Saturday as part of the 23rd annual holiday drive led by Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre and Bell MTS. Volunteers also packaged and delivered 579 Christmas gifts for children. Demand for hampers and help during the holidays has increased along with the cost of living, according to Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata executive director Tammy Christensen.
