Craft distillers look to inter-provincial trade to combat tariff threat
Despite a 30-day pause in U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat of tariffs on Canadian goods, many producers are looking to strengthen their trading relationship north of the border. Nathan Flim, founder of The Fort Distillery in Fort Saskatchewan, Alta., spoke with Edmonton AM about the barriers to inter-provincial trade and how he’s found it easier to expand to the U.S. than other provinces.
