A school bus collided with a tractor in a rural part of Chatham-Kent, east of Lighthouse Cove, Wednesday morning.

Two students sustained minor injuries and were treated by responding emergency personnel, according to police.

"I can only speak to the Lambton-Kent District School Board student on the bus," said a spokesperson from the public school board that covers Chatham-Kent.

"She is resting at home and we are keeping in touch with the family."

It's unclear at this time which school board the other student who was injured belongs to.

The collision happened on Tecumseh Line, between Poppe Road and Dauphin Road, south of the Thames River. That is midway between Jeannette's Creek and Prairie Siding.

Three's no word if any charges are anticipated.
