Morning school buses cancelled in Essex County due to fog

Heavy fog in parts of the region is keeping school buses off the road for the morning commute in Essex County, according to transportation officials. However, service remains as normal in the city of Windsor.

Heavy fog in parts of the region is keeping school buses off the road for the morning commute in Essex County on Monday, according to transportation officials. 

However, service remains as normal in the city of Windsor.

BusKids.ca, the service provider, posted the notification to its website around 5:30 a.m. Monday.

Buses are expected to be operational in both the city and county for the afternoon pickup and drive home.

As of 6:15 a.m., bus transportation for schools in Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent was not impacted.
