A Windsor woman invited people to sit with her during her 56th round of chemotherapy Monday morning in an effort to pull back the curtain on cancer treatment.

Michelle Prince, a well-known member of the community, took part in a Facebook live stream where she answered questions, shared her story and offered tips based on her experience.

The live stream was part of Windsor Regional Hospital's Canswers Centre Live series, which for several months has broadcast live interviews with cancer patients and medical professionals.

The broadcasts began in December with Allison Johnson, manager of communications for Windsor Regional Hospital, and are billed as an interactive educational tool for "cancer patients, survivors and anyone affected by the disease."

Discussion topics have included "what you wish you had known at the beginning of your cancer journey," nutrition for cancer patients and dealing with cancer over the holidays.

Prince is a high-profile chiropractor in Windsor and the wife of former Windsor Mayor Eddie Francis.
