U.S. freeways headed to Ambassador Bridge expected to clear by 10 p.m.
A systems issue with Canadian Border Services Agency caused hours of delay for commercial vehicles
Ambassador Bridge expects Canada-bound commercial traffic to clear by 10 p.m. off U.S. freeways.
A systems issue with the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) caused back-ups on the bridge and across freeways starting Wednesday afternoon.
The Fisher Fwy leading to the Ambassador Bridge has been almost a parking lot for four hours. Traffic is bumper to bumper. The Gordie Howe Bridge will ease that bottleneck. Luckily I can take an alternative route home.

General manager of the bridge, Randy Spader, says it's not clear what the issue is but CBSA has all their facilities open and they are doing everything they can to minimize delays.
"Trucks are backed up across the bridge and across U.S. freeways," said Spader.
However, traffic is free-flowing for passenger vehicles going into Canada, according to him.
