Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged a suspect in human trafficking and prostitution-related offences.

The investigation began in June after a victim approached police and alleged that the accused recruited, took control of aspects of a female adult's life, exploited her in the sex trade and benefited from it financially.

On December 2nd, a 26-year-old man from Mississauga was arrested and charged with human trafficking, sexual assault, and procuring among other related charges.

Investigators believe there may be more victims and are urging anyone with information to contact them.
