Is Dufferin Street the worst road in Ontario?
West end street defending title as the 'worst' road in CAA vote
CAA kicks off its annual campaign today to name Ontario's worst roads, and one Toronto street will be defending its title as the worst road in the province.
During the four-week campaign, Ontarians can vote online for the roads most needing repair or redesign.
The automobile club will then reveal the top 10 worst roads, along with the worst roads in seven regions across the province.
Toronto roads have historically placed high on the list.
Dufferin Street and Kipling Avenue have made appearances on list over the past two years, as well as:
- Lawrence Avenue East
- Kingston Road
- Finch Avenue West
- Bayview Avenue
Last year, Dufferin Street was voted the worst road in Ontario and Kipling Avenue placed third.
CAA South Central Ontario says the lists and the club's recommendations will then be presented to local and provincial politicians in an effort to get the roads fixed.
CAA South Central Ontario is a non-profit auto club that represents more than 1.9 million members.
