2 young men shot near Queen's Quay and Bathurst
Victims are 21 and 25 years old
Two men in their 20s were sent to hospital after a shooting early Tuesday near Queen's Quay and Bathurst Street.
The double shooting started when shots were fired in the courtyard of a townhouse complex on Bishop Tutu Boulevard just before 12 a.m. ET. One victim suffered a single gunshot wound; the other victim was shot twice. Police say both victims are men. One is 21 years old, the other is 25.
One victim is said to be in serious condition and had surgery this morning; the other is in stable condition.
Police say after the shooting in the courtyard, multiple male suspects fled on foot into surrounding streets.
"Once the interaction occurred in the courtyard, we then had them spill onto Stadium Road and onto Lake Shore Boulevard," said police Supt. Frank Bergen.
Police say they are searching for four suspects — all wearing hooded sweatshirts — and are also looking for a white car that may have struck a green dumpster at the scene. There is video footage of the incident, according to police.
Reporting from the scene Tuesday morning, CBC's Trevor Dunn said the site is littered with bloody bandages and some shell casings. Little Norway Park, located near the scene of the shooting, was taped off as police continued their investigation.
Police have made no arrests so far.
