Thunder Bay police report they have charged the motorist with driving without a clear view in front of his vehicle. A police spokesperson would not explain how the man's view was obstructed, but said the information will come out in court in the new year.
The pedestrian, a 26-year-old man, was crossing Robertson Street at the time of the collision. Police report he violated a city bylaw, but they have not formally charged him yet. The man is still in hospital with serious injuries as a result of the incident.
