Matsos out as Sudbury Wolves head coach
In a statement released last night, the team said David Matsos and the Wolves have mutually agreed to end their relationship.
Assistant coach Barry Smith also part of coaching clear-out
The Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club says it's parting ways with the team's head coach.
In a statement released last night, the team said David Matsos and the Wolves have mutually agreed to end their relationship.
Matsos joined the team in 2013 as assistant coach.
Wolves General Manager Rob Papineau said the team considered options on contract extensions but were unable to come to an agreement.
In addition, the team says assistant coach Barry Smith will also no longer be with the team.
The team says Smith came to Sudbury mid-season after filling the void when Drake Berehowsky left.
