A 43-year-old woman was taken to hospital Monday evening after being hit by a vehicle on Ste. Anne Road at Elgin Street, Greater Sudbury Police say.
The woman's injures were not life-threatening.
A woman who lives in an adjacent seniors' complex said the area has been dark since road construction has been taking place.
Suzanne Pleau said a light standard had been taken down for work to be done. She said there is a motion-activated light but it doesn't stay on.
A 58-year-old woman was killed when she was hit by a grader just a block away on the same street in September.
That accident took place during the day.
