The Laurentian University Faculty Association says a tentative settlement has been reached with teachers, ending the threat of a strike.
The university had until midnight Monday to reach a new contract with all its full-time faculty, librarians and part-time sessionals in Sudbury and Barrie.
The faculty association said a tentative agreement was reached Monday morning.
Details of the agreement have not yet been released.
The association said details about a ratification vote will be announced soon.
