Steven Horan, 18, faces careless driving charge after Hwy 17 fatal crash

An 18-year-old Sudbury man has been charged with careless driving after a fatal car crash on Oct. 28.

Steven Horan, 18, now faces the charge, after a northbound passenger car entered the intersection from Southview Drive and was struck by a pick-up truck travelling westbound on Highway 17, OPP report.

Kodee Anne Daoust, 17, a passenger in the car, died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, and Horan is expected to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury, on Nov. 30.
