Teen charged with 1st-degree murder in Saskatoon's 13th homicide of year

A Saskatoon teen charged with first-degree murder is also facing numerous weapons charges.

A Saskatoon teen charged with first-degree murder is also facing weapons and break-and-enter charges.

The 16-year-old boy made his first appearance in youth court Thursday. It's alleged that he killed 20-year-old Jordanna Kucher on Nov. 15 in a hotel parking lot on Eighth Street East. A 36-year-old woman, Katelin McGillivary, is also charged with first-degree murder in the death.

The teen cannot be named because of his age.

The 16-year-old is also charged with possessing and concealing a knife and bear spray, possessing tools for breaking and entering, and breaking and entering.

He is scheduled to return to court Dec. 19.
