Search continues for Sask. man missing since Christmas
Family calling for anyone who has ATVs, snowmobiles and horses to help in search efforts
RCMP and the family of a 50-year-old man who has been missing since Christmas Eve are asking for help in their search efforts.
Orlando Okemaysim was last seen in Sturgeon Lake First First Nation, northwest of Prince Albert. It has been around 11 days since he has been last seen.
Prince Albert RCMP said in a Friday release that he was last seen on Christmas Eve. But a recent Facebook post from a family member said he was last seen on Christmas Day at around 2 p.m. "in an extremely vulnerable state walking in the ditch just past the east village in Sturgeon Lake."
The family hasn't had any contact with him since, which they said was unlike him.
Okemaysim is described as approximately five feet nine inches tall and 240 pounds. He has medium-length black hair and brown eyes. He wears glasses, but doesn't have them with him.
He was last seen wearing a light blue parka, a blue wool jacket and running shoes.
His family from the Beardy's Okemasis Cree Nation have been asking volunteers with ATVs, snowmobiles or horses to help search the surrounding area.
Anyone with information on Okemaysin's location is asked to contact Prince Albert RCMP at 310-RCMP. An anonymous tip can also be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or at Crime Stoppers.
