Vote counting begins as polls close in Saskatoon Meewasin byelection
A new Saskatchewan MLA will be elected Thursday in a byelection for the Saskatoon Meewasin riding.

Votes are now being counted to determine who will be the new Saskatchewan MLA for Saskatoon Meewasin.
Polling at 50 booths across the city riding finished at 8 p.m. CST.
The seat has been empty since the death of Saskatchewan Party MLA Roger Parent on Nov. 30, 2016. The 63-year-old had represented the constituency since 2011.
