NDP wins Saskatchewan's north after tight race
The NDP has won a tight race in Saskatchewan’s northern riding of Desnethé-Missnippi-Churchill River.

The NDP has taken Saskatchewan's northern riding of Desnethé-Missnippi-Churchill River by a slim margin of 70 votes.
Throughout the night, the colours for the riding on the results map alternated between blue, orange and red — an electoral dogfight among the main parties, all three of which had an indigenous candidate running in this riding.

The NDP's Georgina Jolibois won with 10,300 votes over Liberal candidate Lawrence Joseph with 10,230.
The incumbent Conservative candidate Rob Clarke trailed in third place with 9,110.
