Man killed working on truck box at Saskatoon repair shop
A 61-year-old man died after getting injured in an industrial accident Tuesday at a truck repair shop in north Saskatoon.
Fire, paramedics and police all responded to north-end business
A 61-year-old man is dead following an accident Tuesday morning at a repair shop in north Saskatoon.
It happened around 8:20 a.m. CST at Basic Truck and Trailer Repair on Apex Street.
It appeared as though a truck box had collapsed on the man.
Police, fire and paramedics all converged on the scene. Emergency workers performed chest compressions on the man as he was loaded into an ambulance.
The exact cause of what happened is still under investigation by Occupational Health and Safety.
Police said in a news release that man succumbed to his injuries at hospital.
