Fundraiser held for missing Saskatoon woman
Supporters gather on Karina Wolfe's 23rd birthday
Family members and supporters gathered together to remember Karina Wolfe this afternoon and to raise money for her family.
Wolfe went missing almost three years ago. Her family last saw her in the 800 block of Appleby Drive as a passenger in a 2001 grey Corvette. Her family said the vehicle was being driven by a middle-aged Caucasian man.
Karina's brother Desmond said the family isn't giving up hope.
"I really don't know how to react," he said. I'm just hoping for the best and hoping this is one bad dream."
Around 100 people crowded into Saskatoon's Indian and Metis Friendship Centre for today's fundraiser.
"I'm here today so we can remember the people that are missing and the women that are missing and acknowledge the work that's being done in the community," said attendee Colleen Hamilton.
Wolfe's family recently put up a billboard asking for the public's help.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
