Saskatoon police have laid charges against two other people in connection with the fatal shooting of Dylan Phillips, days after a 15-year-old was charged with first-degree murder.

An 18-year-old woman and 25-year-old man were arrested and charged with first-degree murder on Wednesday.

The pair have also been charged with committing murder for the benefit of a criminal organization, and two counts of assault with a weapon. The latter charges do not relate to alleged assaults on Phillips, but stem from the same incident.

Police were called to a home in the city's Mayfair neighbourhood just before 11 p.m. CST on Oct. 14. They found 26-year-old Phillips, who had suffered gunshot wounds. Phillips died at the scene.

The homicide was the 10th to take place in Saskatoon in 2016.

A 15-year-old boy was also charged with first-degree murder in the case on March 23.

He was also charged with committing murder for the benefit of a criminal organization, and two counts of assault with a weapon.

The two new accused are set to have their first court appearances on Thursday.
