A car that flew off Saskatoon's Circle Drive North Bridge in December has been pulled out of the South Saskatchewan River.

At the time, it was reported that the car hit snow packed up on one side of the bridge.

On Monday, dive teams and a tow truck hoisted the car out of the water.

Jennifer Leflar, from Saskatchewan Government Insurance, said the operation was complicated and it took time to arrange.

"It's really availability of those services and, of course, the weather," Leflar told CBC News Monday.

The driver, Breanna Pegg, escaped with a broken collarbone.

Since the accident, the City of Saskatoon has made it a policy to quickly remove snow from the side of bridges.
