Regina pitcher gets call-up by MLB's Detroit Tigers
Dustin Molleken could soon pitch for Detroit Tigers: report
Regina-born minor league pitcher Dustin Molleken could soon get a chance to pitch for the Detroit Tigers.
The 31-year-old right-hander was recently called up from the triple-A Toledo Mud Hens.
The <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Tigers?src=hash">#Tigers</a> have purchased the contract of RHP Dustin Molleken from Triple A Toledo. Molleken will wear No. 50.

To create room for Molleken on the 25- and 40-man roster, the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Tigers?src=hash">#Tigers</a> have designated the contract of INF Casey McGehee for assignment.

Molleken has also played in Japan for the the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters and has competed for the Canadian national baseball team.
The Tigers haven't said when or if Molleken will play.
The Tigers open a four-game series against the Seattle Mariners tonight in Detroit.
Meanwhile, the Regina Red Sox and Baseball Saskatchewan were congratulating Molleken about the call-up on their Twitter feed Sunday.
