A 39-year-old man is facing multiple charges following a Regina Police Service investigation into two sexual assaults.

The first incident was reported on Friday, April 11, when officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Sandra Schmirler Way for a report of an injured person. Police arrived and found a woman who said she had been sexually assaulted.

On Saturday, May 3, police were called to the same area, where a second woman reported being robbed and sexually assaulted.

In both cases, police say the victims had been in the North Central neighbourhood when they entered a white pickup truck. They were then driven to an area west of Lewvan Drive on 13th Avenue, where police say the assaults occurred.

The suspect was arrested on Thursday, May 8, and made his first court appearance the following day. He is facing several charges, including aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault by choking, robbery, and sexual assault.

Police are continuing their investigation and believe there could be more victims. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers.
