Childhood Cancer Awareness flag flies at Sask. legislature

A blue flag with a gold cancer ribbon went up outside the Saskatchewan legislature on Saturday.

The gold represents childhood cancer and September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Organizers said cancer is the number one disease-related cause of death for children, but only receives about four per cent of national research funding.

They want people to realize that kids get cancer too.

This is the first time the flag has flown at the provincial legislature,
