RCMP confirm death of 4-year-old in vehicle fire

P.E.I. RCMP have confirmed four-year-old Nash David Campbell died in a vehicle fire on Martin Road in St. Felix on June 21.

The boy was the son of Trish Hennessey, who also died in the fire.

Trish Hennessey was identified by RCMP Monday, and a public celebration of both lives was held in Charlottetown Thursday morning. RCMP were waiting for official confirmation from an autopsy performed on the weekend before releasing Nash Campbell's name.

The matter continues to be under investigation by the RCMP's major crime unit, the provincial fire marshal's office and the provincial coroner's office.
