Rob Lantz fills 2 jobs in his cabinet after a busy week in P.E.I. politics
Portfolios were previously held by new premier and MLA Cory Deagle

Premier Rob Lantz filled two vacancies in his cabinet Thursday afternoon, appointing a new education minister and giving Speaker Darlene Compton a different role.
Souris–Elmira MLA Robin Croucher was announced as the province's new minister of education and early years, a portfolio previously held by Lantz himself.
Lantz was sworn in as premier on Feb. 21, a day after former premier Dennis King resigned.
Belfast–Murray River MLA Darlene Compton, who had been acting as the Speaker of the P.E.I. Legislative Assembly, was announced as the province's new minister of economic development, innovation and trade.
Until Tuesday, that portfolio held by Montague-Kilmuir MLA Cory Deagle.
Deagle has now resigned from cabinet, saying he plans to run for the leadership of the provincial Progressive Conservative Party.
The economic development, innovation and trade portfolio is likely to be a busy one as the province assesses the impact of looming tariffs on key exports to the United States.
MLAs will have to elect a new Speaker from among themselves when the legislature returns on March 24.
