Officers were called to rue Tassé in the city's Mont-Bleu sector at around 8:15 p.m.
Police say someone shot at an apartment building, shattering a window and causing a 17-year-old to be hit by broken glass.
Her injuries were not life-threatening.
Police operation Saturday
On Saturday afternoon, the Gatineau police force's tactical unit — with the Sûreté du Quebec offering backup — launched an operation at a nearby apartment complex on rue Radisson.
A man and a woman were arrested at around 6:15 p.m., according to Radio-Canada, which was reporting from the scene at the time.
It's not yet known what charges they could face.
The apartment was partially evacuated, with an STO bus on-hand to take residents to a local community centre for safety.
