Ottawa vs. Montreal: the 'Tooth Fairy' series

In each of the first three games of the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final series between the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens, whomever lost a tooth became the star of the game.

Here are the details of who lost teeth, how it happened and how the player became the star of the game.

Game 1 | Craig Anderson

• Anderson stopped 48 of 50 shots, including a series of big saves during Montreal's five-minute power-play in the second period. That also included almost two minutes where the Senators were down two men.
• During the Habs' power-play, Anderson was hit in the mask by a shot from Rene Bourque, knocking out a tooth to the left of his front teeth.
• Anderson was the first star of the game leading Ottawa to 4-2 win and a 1-0 series lead.

Game 2 | Carey Price

• Price stopped 29 of 30 Senators shots including some great saves in the second period during an Ottawa power-play.
• Habs' defenceman Jarred Tinordi chipped two of Price's bottom teeth when his skate came up and hit Price in the head.
• Price led Montreal to a 3-1 win, tying the series at 1-1.

Game 3 | J.G. Pageau

• Pageau scored three goals, including the game-winning goal and two insurance goals as Ottawa took a 2-1 series lead.
• Pageau lost a tooth as he scored his first goal when P.K. Subban's stick caught him in the mouth.
• Pageau, a native of Gatineau, Que., across the river from Ottawa, was the game's first star.
