CBC is replacing its antenna system and making improvements to the transmission infrastructure to upgrade its facilities and provide listeners with improved signal and extended reach.

From Oct. 6 until Dec. 6, 2024, CBC will replace and upgrade its aging broadcasting infrastructure of CBC Radio One (CBO‐FM), CBC Music (CBOQ-FM), Ici Première (CBOF-FM) and Ici Musique (CBOX-FM) at its transmission site.

The site is located at the top of Camp Fortune ski hill in Quebec and has undergone many renovations and updates since the '60s when CBC took it over. The existing master FM antenna that sits at over 700 feet tall has been in service for 37 years and has now reached the end of its life. These repairs and upgrades are necessary to avoid future interruptions to service.

This work may affect listeners tuning in on the 91.5 FM, 103.3 FM, 90.7 FM and 102.5 FM frequencies with interruptions or loss of signal.

How to listen to CBC Radio One during service interruptions:

  • Download the CBC News app and listen to live radio broadcasts.
  • Visit CBC Listen or download the CBC Listen app to catch live radio or listen to on-demand audio programming.
  • Listen to live programming on CBC Lite, a low-bandwidth version of our website.

CBC/Radio-Canada is committed to supporting our listeners through this change to ensure they can continue to access quality local and national CBC radio content.
