Theodore, Charlotte top the most popular baby names in Nova Scotia for 2024

There were 7,154 births in Nova Scotia in 2024, compared to just 5,922 births in 2023.

Theodore and Charlotte are the most popular baby names in Nova Scotia for 2024, according to figures released Monday by the provincial government.

This past year, 41 babies were named Theodore and 33 were named Charlotte.

That's a change from last year, when Henry and Olivia were the most popular names in the province.

If Theodore (34) and Theo (19) were counted as one name, it would have been the most popular name in 2023 as well.
