'Police operation' shuts down part of Highway 104 near Amherst

Nova Scotia RCMP shut down a section of Highway 104 near Exit 3 in both directions around 3 p.m. on Friday. In a post to social media, police said there was no threat to the public.

Nova Scotia RCMP shut down a section of Highway 104 near Amherst on Friday afternoon for what they described as a "police operation."

Highway 104 near Exit 3 was closed in both directions around 3 p.m. on Friday, according to a social media post.

Police said there was no threat to public safety.
